Snoqualmie Falls, freezing over

The cold wave in Western Washington reduced Snoqualmie Falls to some world-class icicles Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in Snoqualmie. The cold temperatures are expected to moderate through the week. Officials at Puget Sound Energy say icy conditions such as these occur about once a year. The conditions have not stopped or hurt power production of the hydroelectric plant at the falls. Cabin Getaway Weekend | Plain, Washington

Spent a quiet, relaxing weekend with buddies Mark Malijan and Andy Jaeger in the town aptly named Plain, Washington. Got my feet in some snow, felled a handsome Christmas three and drank a beer in the back of an open trailer in a mini-blizzard. All in all, not the worst time I've ever had.
