Wah Mee massacre site burns in Seattle's International District
An estimated 90 firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze that began around 4 PM Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at 669 South King Street in Seattle. The cause of the fire is still unknown and continues to be considered "out of control." Shortly after 8 PM, firefighters reduced it to a one alarm response, but officials stated personnel would be stationed throughout the night. The American Red Cross was called to assist at least 22 displaced residents. The building was the site of the 1983 Wah Mee massacre, in which 13 people were killed in a robbery at the Wah Mee gambling club. (Jordan Stead, seattlepi.com)

Halloween Weekend Debauchery | Seattle, Wash.
Spent one evening of Halloween weekend out on Seattle's Capitol Hill, consorting with drag queens, sharing beers with a horse-headed party animal and trying not to get accosted by passing ghouls. I failed on the last part. Regardless - it was a classic Pacific Northwest frightfest. Felt great to break in the new camera body in such an unforgiving situation while sharing a holiday with close friends. Oh, and thanks to Carey Rose for his photographic abilities in capturing the rogue drinking horse... Enjoy!

Harvest moon over Skyline, Washington
This beauty popped up over the grandstands at a high school football game I was shooting...
A full, golden moon rises over the packed grandstands of the opening season football game of Skyline versus Bothell High School Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Skyline High School in Sammamish, Wash.
